In the contemporary landscape, the surface is no longer a passive element. It is the point where performance and architectural language meet, where function and identity converge. It is on this vision that Roofingreen has built its research: not around a single material, but around a system capable of integrating them
Milan, April 2026 — On the occasion of Milan Design Week, Roofingreen® presents MULTIMATERIA, a concept that redefines the role of the surface in outdoor architecture.
Today, terraces, courtyards and outdoor spaces become true extensions of living: designed environments where comfort, aesthetics and performance come together to create an experience. The surface is no longer a neutral element, but an active component of the project, capable of transforming every space into a scenography of beauty and functionality.

The base that makes dialogue possible
At the core of the multimaterial language lies Dbase. The project does not begin with the choice of material. It begins with a single base capable of accommodating different finishes, combinable with one another. The result is compositional freedom, design continuity and reversibility over time.

A matter of outdoor
If design returns to material, outdoor is where material is tested against real life.
Roofingreen’s presence at MDW 2026 unfolds through two installations in the heart of the city, developed in collaboration with leading Italian players in design and outdoor.
Botanical Dreams
Marie Claire Maison × Cova Milano
April 17 – May 10, 2026 · Via Monte Napoleone 8
Via Monte Napoleone is a context with a precise grammar: noble materials, references to tradition, an identity that leaves no room for improvisation. The project conceived by Marie Claire Maison chooses this very setting to create a dialogue between design and nature. A visual experience that extends into the outdoor area, where a real garden welcomes guests for a pause between design and nature.
Roofingreen enters as the technical partner for the surface: an urban outdoor space where greenery, filtered light and paving material come together as a single landscape.
The installation spans three key moments of Milan’s cultural calendar — Miart, Milan Design Week and Orticola — opening on April 17, with a dedicated event during Orticola.

The Factory of Shade
FIM Umbrellas × Foppapedretti × Roofingreen
April 21–26, 2026 · Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata, Brera Design District
At the Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata, FIM Umbrellas transforms one of the most evocative locations in the Brera Design District into a temporary workshop that brings material, technical gesture and craftsmanship to the forefront.
FIM Umbrellas’ shading systems, Foppapedretti’s outdoor collection and Roofingreen surfaces come together within a single design space and a shared dialogue.
What happens when a surface stops being neutral and begins to interact with what stands above it and what inhabits it?
MULTIMATERIA stems from this question.
The Factory of Shade gives it a temporary, tangible form.

Dbase WPC – official launch
Milan Design Week will also mark the official presentation of Dbase WPC, a 2026 innovation introducing a new generation of low-thickness composite wood flooring systems (under 3 cm), designed to be draining, lightweight and fully recyclable.
